Custom Letterpress Wedding Invitation

This elaborate, custom, multi-piece wedding invitation package includes an invitation, wedding guide, RSVP card, RSVP envelope, and belly band. A combination of techniques including foil stamping, letterpress printing, die cutting and more were used to create just what the client was looking for.

The invitation used opaque white foil with pearlescent foil over stamp to create the light text areas, while the blue areas were letterpress printed on both sides with a custom mix opaque blue. Sheets were mounted front to back to give the invite a double thick, sturdy feel.

Another interesting feature to this wedding package was the tri-fold wedding guide printed on cotton stock using a combination of pearlescent foil background with gray letterpress overprint.

The RSVP card was two color letterpress printed on cotton stock with a burnished background while the envelope used opaque white foil with a pearlescent foil over stamp. Due to unavailability of envelopes in the color the client wanted, the envelopes were custom made in house through a process involving die cutting, assembly, and gluing.

An accent feature of the invitation package was the belly band. The burnished background with letterpress overprint was scored and taped around the invitation package to tie it all together.
